Select your players simply by clicking on player names in the player list on the right hand side of the page.
All teams play in a 4-4-2 formation. So you'll need to pick appropriate players for each position.
Pick:Each team will have 4 substitutes. If any of your team players do not play in a competition, then we will automatically replace that player if you have a substitute player available who plays in the same field position.
Depending on the competition you will be able to pick 2-3 players per club side for your team. If you exceed this quota, you will be deducted 5 points per player over quota. Any penalties that your team has incurred are displayed in the area below the pitch.
All entries must be posted before kick-off of the first game in the round.
Choose a stake that you are comfortable with. All bets made by players are placed in a pool. The size of the stake that you invest in the pool will determine the size of the payout that you receive if you have a winning team.
Having selected your team, you can now enter your team into the pool. Do so simply by entering your desired stake in the space provided. Your stake will be added to the betting pool.

Player scores will be updated as the game progresses with final player scores to be allocated shortly after the finish of each game.
Player points will be calculated using data provided to us by Global Sports Media. Global Sports Media are a leading provider of data. Whilst we will take all reasonable steps to deliver accurate data, neither TotelFootball nor Global Sports Media accept any responsibility whatsoever for erroneous data and at no stage will we enter into any correspondence relating to the allocation of player points.
A player is awarded a goal assist if he makes the last pass before a goal is scored. If an opposing player interferes with the flight of the ball, then no assist is given unless this interference results in an own goal.
If a player shoots on goal and the goalkeeper blocks, parries or drops the ball or the ball rebounds off the post or crossbar and a goal results, then the player will receive an assist.
A player will get an assist for a penalty if:
All assists are reviewed within 24 hours of the game finishing.
The best players in each game will receive up to 6 bonus points.
6 bonus points will be awarded to the Goal.com Man of the Match. 3 bonus points will be awarded to any player who receives a Goal.com rating of 7.5 or over. Man of the match and player ratings are with reference to the UK version of the Goal.com site (http://www.goal.com/en-gb/).
If this information is not available on Goal.com at time of settlement, then 6 points will be awarded to the Sky Sports Man of the Match and 3 points awarded to any player who receives a Sky Sports rating of 8 or above.
In the unlikely event that neither source is available at time of settlement, then 6 bonus points will be awarded to the player who has earned most points from TotelFootball in that game. If 2 or more players share top points, then 3 bonus points will be awarded to each player.
Bonus points are awarded within a few hours of the end of each game. TotelFootball's decision on the Man of the Match and Player Bonus Points shall be final and shall not be open to question in any regard.
In knockout games, points will continue to earn points during extra time as normal. There will be no additional allocation of points for Clean Sheets and there will be no points allocated during a penalty shoot-out.
If 3 or more players on a team do not play due to one or more matches being cancelled, then the team is declared a non-runner. The stake bet on this team will be refunded to the customer and the pool is reduced in size.
If 1 or 2 players on a team do not play due to one or more matched being cancelled, the team continues within the competition but the players that do not play will be allocated points as follows:
| Player | Points |
| Goalkeeper | 3 |
| Defender | 4 |
| Midfielder | 5 |
| Striker | 5 |
All squad members are allocated appearance points in the event of a cancellation. Abandoned and postponed games will be treated the same as a cancellation.
In the event that 5 or less games are completed in any gameweek, then the total pool will be reduced by the amount of the voided bets refunded to customers. In this scenario there will be no minimum guaranteed pool.
Stake money collected creates a prize pool. 20% of the total prize pool will be retained to cover operational expenses. There may be further deductions to return voided bets to customers in the case of match cancellations. Please be aware that the advertised total prize pool is at all times referred to before any deduction has been made.
The top 10% of teams will share in the prize pool.
The higher your team finishes in the competition, the more points that you will accumulate per £1 you staked on your team.
| Position | Points Accumulated |
| 1st | 100 points per £1 invested |
| 2nd – 5th | 20 points per £1 invested |
| 6th – 10th | 10 points per £1 invested |
| 11th – 20th | 5 points per £1 invested |
| 21st – 40th | 3 points per £1 invested |
| 41st – Remaining Winners | 2 points per £1 invested |
We divide the pool by the total points accumulated by all winning managers in order to calculate the dividend to be paid per point accumulated. Each winning manager will then be paid out the per point dividend x total points accumulated.
For example, a total prize pool is £25,000 with a total of 5,000 points accumulated by all winning managers. This will result in a payout per point of £5.00.
